The Instrument Panel Overlay(s) Pogo connection may be marginal on some devices, causing connection issues. This can cause the RTD Configuration to not launch automatically, and the Instrument Panel Overlay(s) to show up as not installed on the RTD IOS. The Instrument Panel Overlays may also be disconnected intermittently on the Readiness Page on the RTD IOS.
The elevator (pitch) trim may get stuck in the full forward or the full aft position. The trim may not move the yoke, or movement may be delayed.
The position potentiometers on the 193549-1, and -2 Spring Control Wheel Assembly with Electric Trim assembly, and the 194864-1 Spring Loaded Control Wheel Assembly with Electric Trim have had reliability issues. This service bulletin modifies these assemblies from using Potentiometers to Hall Effect sensors.
The Seminole Engine control panel can become disconnected from the RTD Pogo Pins when down pressure is applied to the engine controls causing the engine control panel to loose communication with the RTD. The 194426-1 Pogo Pin Guide provides additional support around the Pogo connector to avoid the disconnection of the Pogo Pins for the Seminole Engine Control Panel.
The ribbon cable on the back right side of the 193241-1 G1000 overlay can become disconnected from the panel causing the G1000 MFD to be inoperative. Installing Mylar tape (FPN 162740-1) on the ribbon prevents the ribbon cable from becoming disconnected.
